Champions On and Off the Course
The American Junior Golf Association has announced the 2019 AJGA Scholastic Junior All-America Teams, comprised of the world’s brightest minds and golfers alike. Cyrus Yu Fung Lee (2020) of Hong Kong, a JGTA competitor, has been selected as one of the 24 players honored (12 boys and 12 girls).
The AJGA Scholastic Junior All-America team is selected using a combination of accolades in the classroom, on the golf course, leadership in school and in their communities. Lee was selected with the following accolades – A GPA of 4.18, an SAT score of 1560, a T7 finish at the Foley Performance Academy @ Eaglesdream Junior All-Star, community involvement with Leadership Links, the AJGA’s Ace Grant program, his work as a math and science as well as an SAT tutor, and his involvement with the UNICEF club.
Additionally, three JGTA competitors have been named on the 2019 AJGA Scholastic Honor Roll. These players are JGTA Champion Ieong Sin Kuan (2020) of Macau, Kuangyu (Tony) Chen (2021) of Shenzhen, China, and Irene Wang (2020) of Beijing, China.
