A historic tournament week took place at the Bluffs in the JGTA Junior Aspirations. This event rewrote just about every record in the books on the Tour.

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

  • Classification: Major Event
  • Division: Boys and Girls, ages 12 - 18
  • Field Size: Maximum 96 players
  • Format: 54-Holes, Stroke Play over 3 days
  • Entry Criteria: AJGA PBE Status and official JGTA tie-break criteria
  • Entry Fee: USD $295.00
  • Status: Junior Order of Merit Major-level status

  • Application Deadline: 18/11/2019 11:59 pm
  • JGTA will stop receiving applications submitted after 11:59 PM Hong Kong Time on November 18, 2019. All Tour Card holders who submit their application after this time will be ineligible for the tournament.


  • Payment Deadline: 20/11/2019 11:59 pm
  • Players who have earned tentative entry into the Tournament will have until 11:59 PM Hong Kong Time on November 20, 2019 to make payment to confirm entry into this event.
  • Tuesday, December 17 - Player & Parents Meeting: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
  • JGTA will host a Player and Parents meeting in the Clubhouse at The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip for all tournament participants, parents/coaches to discuss important topics including: Playing the JGTA, College Golf, Local Rules and more. Attendance is mandatory.
  • Tuesday, December 17 - Official Practice Round: 7:00 am Shotgun
  • The JGTA will assign starting holes and pairings to players prior to December 16.
  • Please contact playerservices@jgta.org if you are unable to participate in the official practice round before December 11.

  • Tuesday, December 17 - Player Registration: 5:45 am - 6:45 am
  • Players must check-in with JGTA staff in the Clubhouse Lobby on Tuesday, December 17. Late arrival players may register anytime while JGTA staff is present in the Tournament Office before 4:00 pm.

  • Tuesday, December 17 - Player & Parents Meeting: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
  • JGTA will host a Player and Parents meeting in the Clubhouse at The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip for all tournament participants, parents/coaches to discuss important topics including: Playing the JGTA, College Golf, Local Rules and more. Attendance is mandatory.

  • Wednesday, December 18 - Long Drive Competition
  • The JGTA will host a long drive competition on Wednesday, December 18 at the driving range at The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip. Players can join JGTA staff at the driving range following their first round to compete in the long drive contest. On Thursday, the finalists will be invited to compete in the final competition for the chance to win a TaylorMade Driver.

  • Friday, December 20 - Awards Ceremony: 3:00 pm - 3:30 pm
  • The awards ceremony will take place immediately following the conclusion of play. If booking travel on day of final round please take into consideration possible weather delays that could affect your arrangements.
  • Host Venue: The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip

  • The Greg Norman-designed Bluffs Ho Tram Strip golf course is located 80 kilometers southeast of Ho Chi Minh City in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province on the southern Vietnamese coastline. It takes around 2 hours to reach by a mix of highway and local roads from Ho Chi Minh City. The Bluffs Ho Tram is a unique links-style par-71 golf course on a rugged site often accompanied by strong onshore breezes.
  • Official Hotel: The Grand Ho Trim Strip
  • The Grand Ho Tram Strip became Vietnam’s first integrated beach resort in 2013, and has since gone on to win numerous international awards for its standards of excellence and multiple amenities offered to its guests, including access to The Bluffs, Vietnam’s only top-35 rated golf course, and host to the Ho Tram Open golf championship on the Asia tour. Located 90 minutes away from, Ho Chi Minh City, on 2.2-kilometer of pristine beach, The Grand offers many world-class amenities including Vietnam’s only large-scale live table casino, a dozen restaurant offerings, an award-winning spa, mini-golf, waterslide, a nightclub, a 1000-seat ballroom and convention facilities. Families are REQUIRED to stay at the official hotel. BOOKING INSTRUCTIONS The JGTA has blocked off rooms for JGTA Participants accepted into the field therefore players should not book until they are notified by the JGTA that they are accepted into the field on November 19. To obtain these preferred rates, bookings are REQUIRED to be made through The JGTA via the booking forms found on the factsheet and tournament microsite.
