Round 2 Recap: JGTA Bintan

In the second round of the JGTA Bintan Lagoon Junior Championship presented by dwell Student Living, Camille Boyd (2020) of Yorba Linda, California held on to the lead in the Girl’s Division, finishing the day with a 2-over-par 74, giving her an 8-stroke lead over WenQi Zhu(2019) of Shanghai, China. Zhu finished the day with a score of 6-over-par-78, with a two-day total of 154.

Austin Tan (2020) of Singapore led the way again in the Boy’s Division, ending the day with a score of 5 over-par 77. Tan shot 75 in his first round and enters the final round atop the leaderboard by two shots. Trailing Tan is Ning Un of Macau, shooting a 77 today, giving him a two-day total of 154.

Vinod Weerasinghe of Colombo, Sri Lanka and Connor Kelly of Bangkok, Thailand made headway in Round 2 of JGTA Bintan in the Boy’s Division, each putting together second round scores of 74.

The final round of the JGTA Bintan Lagoon Junior Championship presented by dwell Student Living takes place tomorrow morning at Bintan Lagoon Resort. Players will earn points towards their Junior Order of Merit ranking, the source for AJGA Performance Based Entry status in Asia.
