Longest Driver in Vietnam
The long-drive finale in Vietnam at the JGTA Junior Aspirations at The Bluffs ended with familiar faces taking home the TaylorMade M5 and M6 drivers that were at stake.
The top-3 boys and girls advanced to the final showdown after teeing it up on Wednesday. These players were Andy Sun (2022) of Shenzhen, China, Jui Shen Lee (2020) of Yunlin, Chinese Taipei, Zhe Wang (2021) of Shanghai, China, Teng Teng Hun (2023) of China, Macau SAR, Yizhen (Tina) Kong (2022) of Bangkok, Thailand, and Hoi Ki Lau (2022) of China, Hong Kong SAR.
Leaving spectators on their toes, Jui Shen Lee and Andy Sun hit identical strikes of 281 yards directly into the headwind. This called for a one-shot sudden-death match. Andy Sun hit his ball out of bounds and all that JGTA Champion Jui Shen Lee had to do was hit the fairway to take home the driver. While his nerves shook him up, he managed to place his shot perfectly in the fairway to take home a TaylorMade Golf M5 driver.
Stepping up to the plate as a two-time long drive contest qualifier and absolutely smashing her drive for the girls and taking home the TaylorMade M6 driver was Teng Teng Hun (2023) of China, Macau SAR. Hun’s shot came to rest with a total distance of 243 yards dead into the wind, crowning her the longest driver in Vietnam.
Both players used TaylorMade drivers to capture their victories.
